Earthen Vessels was a Jars of Clay newsletter produced by Andy Lowell, brother of Jars keyboardist, Charlie Lowell. The newsletter was available only through e-mail. The special Internet newsletter provided information not found elsewhere, as well as a deeper look into the band's spiritual beliefs. The newsletter was discontinued in 1999 in favor of periodic emailings and web site updates.
