"What We Are Instead" Contest
(Contest created by Libby Perry)

Our January 2005 contest was in celebration of Jars' recent Grammy nomination for "Who We Are Instead. I've heard Jars' fans say that they can see Jars of Clay's music as well as hear it. Undoubtedly, Jars use vivid word pictures throughout their lyrics to pinpoint an emotion or state of mind. This is one of the characteristics that make Jars' songs timeless. Below you will find 10 questions regarding word pictures that were specifically used in "Who We Are Instead. You were asked to list the song or songs that correctly answered each question. Congratulations to Nick Barner! Nick will received a rare Eleventh Hour tour book autographed by the band.
