April 2005 Contest
REDEMPTION SONGS LYRICAL QUEST

(Contest created by Libby Perry)

The lyrics of Redemption Songs cannot be taken lightly, or even listened to casually. These hymns reflect centuries worth of trials, heartaches, and total dependence on God to exist in a fallen world. Jars have provided us with some background for these hymns... why they chose these particular words of text and music to rework and reinvent in a fresh way and a little bit of historical background into each hymn. The lyrical explanations can be found here:

You were asked to match the lyrical clue with the Redemption Songs title that it pertains to. The winner, Arden Bailey, will receive a rare official blue Jars of Clay plastic rain poncho (really!)... circa 1998! Congratulations, Arden!
