In our effort to mirror Jars of Clay's Earthen Vessels newsletter, jarchives.com provides fans a glimpse of the essence of the band... its heart and ministry. Jarchives.com is a comprehensive collective of Jars' history from 1994 to the present, as seen through the eyes of the media, their fans, as well as Jars of Clay themselves. It also offers fans the opportunity to express the many ways Jars have touched their lives, through testimonies, poetry, artwork, live concert descriptions, even "spiritual recreation"... contests! We also ask you to send us your prayer requests so that we can lift each other up before the Lord.
If you're new here, some of our "jar" headings may be confusing at first, but once you read our explanations, we hope you'll find the titles as "punny" as we do!
JARTIFACTS - This is where we post some of the most recent articles about and interviews with the band. The bulk of older articles can be found in THE VAULT. If you know of any articles or interviews not found on these pages, please send them to us!
JARTWORK - Artwork! Jars artwork! We already have quite a collection by talented fans, but we want more! More! More! If you paint, draw or handle a mean mouse, we want you to get creative. Perhaps you have a knack for expressing with image, color and light how a Jars lyric touched you. If so, we want to see it, and we want to share it with the world!
JARCHITECTURE - As architecture defines a building, jarchitecture defines Jars music, lyrics and stage performances. Of course, much of this is up for interpretation and we want yours! You've always wanted to be a famous critic, right? Here's your chance! Tell us what you think about a song, an album or a concert. We encourage inclusion of your concert photos to accompany your literary masterpieces. :)
JARTICULATE - Talk, talk, talk! We know many people have been ministered to by way of a Jars song, an interview, a concert experience or perhaps even an encounter with a band member. God knows how to reach each one of us individually, and many times He chooses to do so via music or the music industry. Share your stories with us!
JARCADE - The Jar Arcade, of course! If it's fun, it goes here! We usually have a contest going on and Jarcade is the place to find out about that. (Always cool prizes!) You can also see a list of past contests and our winners. Even if it's too late to enter, old contests can be fun! The Jarcade page has much potential. Share your silly and humorous side with us. Write a parody for a Jars song, or tell us a jar joke. We know you can entertain us!
